Invite & Remove Team Members
Manage who has access to your DocuNero workspace by inviting new team members or removing inactive users. Adding teammates ensures your organization can collaborate on invoice processing, approvals, categorization, and reporting.

This guide walks you through how invitations work, how to manage pending invites, and how to safely remove members.
Inviting New Team Members
Pro/Teams plan Owners and Admins can invite new users to join the organization.
Plan Requirement
Team Management features are enabled only for Pro/Teams plan Owners and Admins.
Where to invite members
- Go to Team Management from the left sidebar
- Select the Overview or Members tab
- Click Invite Member
This opens the invitation form, where you can enter user details and select their role.
How to Send an Invite
When inviting a teammate, you will need:
- Email address of the user
- Role to assign (Owner, Admin, Member, Uploader, or Viewer)
Steps
- Enter the user's email
- Choose the role that matches their responsibilities
- Click Send Invite
Email Invitation
The invited user will receive an email with a secure link to join your workspace.
Tracking Pending Invites
Pending invitations appear in the Invites tab.
For each invite, you can:
- See the email address and invited role
- Check when the invitation was sent
- Resend invitation
- Cancel invitation (if sent to the wrong person)
Once the user accepts the invite, they automatically appear under the Members tab with their assigned role.
Removing Team Members
Owners and Admins can remove members from the workspace when users leave the team or no longer require access.
How to Remove a User
- Navigate to Team Management → Members
- Find the user you want to remove
- Click Remove next to their name
- Confirm the removal in the popup
Important Note
Removing a user does not delete documents they previously uploaded or edited. Their contributions remain safely stored.
What Happens When a User Is Removed?
- Their session expires, and they can no longer access the workspace
- They no longer appear in the active members list
- Historical activity (uploads, edits, approvals) stays intact for audit traceability
- Their seat frees up for subscription plans with user limits

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I revoke an invite after sending it?
Yes. Go to Invites → Cancel Invitation. The link becomes invalid immediately.
Can I re-invite a removed member?
Yes. Simply send a new invitation using the same email.
Can an Uploader or Viewer invite or remove users?
No. Only Owners and Admins can manage members.
